Mashpee Conservation Commission continues pool and new-home applications while closing permits for two septic upgrades and two vista pruning projects. At the January 23 meeting the commission sent the Agerback pool proposal at 49 The Heights to a third continuance — now set for February 19 — after four of five commissioners indicated they would not grant a waiver for a mitigation shortfall of 3,141 square feet and staff noted no ZBA application had been filed, leaving the project technically incomplete under town regulations. A proposed single-family house at 16 Slice Whey was continued to February 5 after Commissioner Paul Colombo identified the listed septic model as rated only for secondary treatment rather than the denitrification the site requires, and the application's own narrative disclosed proposed lawn coverage of roughly 37 percent — more than three times the 10 percent maximum allowed under Regulation 31.

A dock reconstruction at 399 Monomoscoy Road for Tranquility Properties LLC, carrying a shellfish mitigation fee of $9,475, was also continued to February 5 pending revised anchoring plans for the velocity zone. The commission unanimously closed and issued permits for septic upgrades at 23 Elliott Road and 21 Fiddler Crab Lane, approved vista pruning for the McDermott property at 70 Fells Pond Road and for the Pomponsett Beach Association at six Dean Pond locations, and granted a certificate of compliance for 15 Child's Road.
