Select Board · Meeting of September 28, 2026

Mashpee Select Board votes to start formally approving state election warrants. The 5-0 vote, prompted by guidance the town clerk received at a state clerks' conference, approved the warrant dated September 17, 2026, which had been posted by the constable September 22 and published in the Mashpee Enterprise September 25. The board separately voted 5-0 to extend Spicy Water Distillery's farmers market permit through November 1, with owner Cheryl St.

Onge noting her liability coverage runs through November 8. Town Manager Rodney C. Collins told the board Route 151 corridor work, delayed by business complaints and a missed meeting with state officials, is now expected to wrap up by the end of 2027 or in 2028 rather than the technically possible 2032.

Collins also reported Pickleball Park court occupancy has dropped to roughly "50 percent" amid ongoing tension between players, with a task force set to report recommendations this winter.
