Zoning Board · Meeting of October 14, 2026

Mashpee's Zoning Board of Appeals voted 5-0 to deny an abutters' appeal and uphold two building permits on Oyster Way. Attorney Tanya D. Trevisan argued the lots lacked the required 150 feet of frontage, calling River Road "a paper street"; an attorney for the lot owner, identified as Mills, said the issue had already been resolved by a 2021 Planning Board decision, calling it "perhaps a third time" the same argument was raised.

The board separately approved a written finding letting owners John and Brenda O'Neil rebuild a nonconforming home at 12 Running Light Way, and approved a modification allowing Sand & Reef to store up to 14 boats at 71B Echo Road under a 25-foot fire-safety clearance. The board continued the On Commons LLC 40B hearing for 61 rental units on Route 28 to November 19 and approved an extension of the permit deadline to November 30, 2026.
